AmCham Germany ForumThe Twilight of GlobalizationA Cornerstone of Transatlantic Relations under Threat or Temporary Disruption?JUNE 4, 2020 | ZOOM |
[Briefanrede_en]
AmCham Germany's Regional Committee Cologne cordially invites you to our next virtual AmCham Germany Forum.
Globalization has been a major pillar of transatlantic relations and our prosperity. US and foreign global players have emerged in the global business sector. This business model first came under attack in 2017, when economic policies started to focus more on domestic goals. The coronavirus pandemic inflicted a final blow to global sharing: cross-border supply chains are interrupted, 1.6 billion workers are facing hardships, the EU’s role continues to diminish, and the survival of national economies is now the priority. Is all this temporary or will there be lasting consequences? What will the impact on business and the wealth of individuals be? A discussion round with business leaders, economic and political experts will provide guidance on this multifaceted topic.
We are pleased to have the following speakers join our discussion:
Peter Beyer, MdB, CDU, Coordinator of Transatlantic Relations at the Federal Foreign Office
Laura Lane, Head of Global Public Affairs, UPS
Kevin Kiyan, Partner and Global Transfer Pricing Leader, Andersen
Markus Krischer, Head of Public Affairs, Boston Scientific
Moderator: Florian Bauer, Journalist, phoenix
